Guilty

Vartasha McCollough has been found guilty in the death of her daughter Kynande Bennett. McCollough claimed that Kynande was kidnapped from the Whiteville K-Mart back in September of 2002. The stores security cameras were on the fritz that day and no video of Kynande was availible. No one in the store remembered seeing the 4 year Bennett in or around the store. Kynande has never been found even after repeated attempts to find her body. Shortly after the reported abduction the police made it known that they were looking at McCollough as a suspect.

A Conway, S.C. jury took four hours to find Vartasha McCollough guilty in the death of her 4-year-old daughter, Kynande Bennett.

McCollough was found guilty of homicide by child abuse, unlawful neglect of a child and inflicting great bodily harm on a child. She reported Kynande missing from a Kmart in Whiteville, in late September 2002.

A jury in Horry County has delivered a verdict in the case of a mother accused of killing her only daughter. They found Vartasha McCullough guilty of homicide by child abuse.

McCullough was accused of killing her four-year-old daughter, Kynande Bennett. Kynande disappeared from a K-Mart in Whiteville in 2002. Her body has not been found.
