Edwards Supports Censuring Bush

Former NC Senator and ex-VP hopeful John Edwards through in his support to the Feingold's censure bill. It's worth noting that the bill doesn't have much support even among democrates. Edwards said that he supported the censure because Bush authorized the alleged leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity. The White House hasn't verified or denied the claim that Bush authorized the release of Plame's job, but did state that the President can release any information he wants.WRAL

"I think that George Bush deserves to be censured," said Edwards, while opening a three-day campaign swing through Iowa on Saturday.

Edwards pointed to reports that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney authorized leaking the identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame as evidence the Bush administration is out of control. He said it was a perfect example of why Democrats need to regain control of Congress.
